The Child, Youth and Family Committee focuses on advocacy and education projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of trans, Two-Spirit, and gender diverse (TTGD) children, youth, and families.\u00a0 We meet bimonthly throughout the year.\u00a0 In addition to developing a community of practice for professionals working with TTGD youth and their caregivers, we focus on projects such as collaborating with the Canadian Pediatric Society to create a parent\u2019s guide to gender identity and gender expression, creating a list of resources to combat misinformation\/disinformation about gender-affirming care for trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary (TTNB) youth, and collaborating with TransCareBC and other organizations to support the We Are Allies resources.<\/p>\n

The CYF committee continues to expand and invite new members. If you are a CPATH member who is passionate about the health and well-being of TTGD youth and their families and are interested in joining us, please reach out to Julie at jtemple@cpath.ca.<\/a><\/p>\n
